Major Russian Attacks Disrupt Power Across Ukraine's Capital

The country's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were injured while inhabitants in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a young boy was killed in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has escalated strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "substantial measures" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the America, Europe and the major economies - in providing protection systems and applying penalties," was stated in a online statement.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty missiles attacked the country's power systems, labeling such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles damaged electrical systems and residential structures in Kyiv.

Multiple people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to city authorities.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region endured intense attacks throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child died and multiple civilians were injured.

The attacks follow evenings of aerial attacks in the territory, sections of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to detect.

National leaders told the media that Moscow was deliberately attempting to damage the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting energy systems.

Officials stated technical personnel and officials were bracing for more assaults.
